What is Viva?
Viva is a community revitalization project based in the mountain village of Videmonte, Portugal. Its mission is to bring new life to rural spaces by connecting generations through creativity, culture, and collaboration.
What Is The Goal?
Viva was created to transform two abandoned buildings into vibrant community hubs where elders can share their knowledge, visitors learn through experience, and younger generations find purpose and belonging.
More than a project, Viva is the meeting point where stories are preserved, connections are made, and the spirit of the village continues to grow.
The Challenge?
How can we repurpose two unused
school buildings in Videmonte to serve
the needs of its aging population,
while encouraging community life,
social innovation, and tourism?
